a) Red Signs
Fire hydrant signs, like those commonly found
outdoors in Germany, were used for the signs.
This created the connection between Athens
and Kassel. The signs were supplied by the
company Frankenplastik in Fürth, then
typographically customized and installed in the
streets of Athens. The signs will stay during
the exhibition as guides, after the exhibition
they can be left to become part of the ”normal
life“. one day they will disappear.
