Corporate design for the Museum für Angewandte
Kunst Frankfurt

Vier5 has been working on a new corporate
design for the Museum für Angewandte Kunst
Frankfurt since autumn of 2004.
The museum was built by Richard Meier in the
mid-1980s. During the 20 years of its existence,
the museum has experienced several ups and
downs in terms of its graphical appearance.
The development of a corporate identity for a
house the size of the Museum für Angewandte
Kunst Frankfurt requires a lot of time and
careful preparation, yet something referring to
the upcoming change should be immediately
perceivable. Vier5 therefore opted for a two-
phase design model.

1. PHASE
temporary corporate design

2. PHASE
final corporate design
